Student Care Welfare Queensland mission is to assist young Queenslanders who have suffered sexual, emotional and physical abuse, self-harm, poverty, domestic violence to overcome their problems, find happiness and fulfill their dreams.

We supply a number of services with an emphasis on homeless children - food, clothing and shelter, including support for families in crisis with employment assistance and follow up support.

Counselling ? Student Car Welfare Qld. Inc provide counselling sessions to students with problems ranging from broken families, parents in prison, victims of bullying and most emotional disorders. Our counsellors are graduates of the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors with additional University qualifications.

Homework Diaries ? Each year, primary and secondary schools use curriculum diaries especially designed for them by Student Care Welfare Qld Inc. The diary pages include spaces for an art competition based on the problems students have to confront during their school years. i.e. drugs, bullying, peer pressure etc. The problems inspiring the art are very helpful to Student Care Welfare Qld?s research and each student is awarded a certificate for their portfolio.

Life Skills Seminars and Drug Education ? These are conducted by speakers who are now leading balanced lives but experienced serious drug problems as teenagers. The speakers illustrate the danger of and how to avoid being involved in the drug culture.

Ongoing Research into Methods of Combating Problems ? When a young person approaches Student Care with a problem which we are not familiar with, we hope that our ongoing research of all new organisations and new methods of assistance allows us to be able to assist the young person straight away without him/her having to endure lengthy delays.
